BOINC-Ring of Macmini-Forum
This is the portal of the BOINC-team-ring of the Macmini-Forum. On our board, three BOINC teams have been founded so far: United Macs (which in fact existed already before the start of MmF, working on SETI@home), recently followed by miniStein (Einstein@home) and .miniRose. (Rosetta@home).
BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing) is a program for Distributed Computing or Grid Computing. Several projects can be run simultaneously on just one client.
Right now, our Macmini-Teams are working on SETI@home (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence - the classical project), Einstein@home (astronomy) as well as Rosetta@home (medical science).
It is just by coincidence that we are a german-speaking forum - anyway,
members from all over the world are warmly invited to join our teams!
